One night, after a day's hard work I went to bed (earlier) than usual. I suddenly (woke) up. I heard a noise. I got out (加入of) bed and went slowly downstairs. I listened very carefully. I could hear two men speaking quietly. I didn't think (much). I believed (thieves) had (broken) into my house (and) I was really frightened. I went back upstairs and called (去掉to) the police from my bedroomt. The police arrived quickly. They opened the front door with a (special) key. You can imagine how (embarrassed) I was when the police came upstairs and told me (they) had turned the television off for me and everything was all right.
